Here is a picture of our beautiful pea plants. We should have plenty of peas to go around this season! Along with tons of sweet juicy little strawberries, delicious kale, many different kinds of beets and carrots, red and green lettuces, and more spinach :) Although we have lots of produce coming along..... we don't have any today.... which means we will not be at the market on Saturday morning. Our bounty of overwintered spinach grew too big and is starting to bolt, which makes the leaves bitter and tough. Because we didn't get our irrigation mess worked out until March, our spring veggies won't be ready for another week or so.

We have been able to taste our first ripe strawberries this last week. They are delicious, and the plants are doing well. They have flourished despite our crazy weather in early spring.
Here is a snapshot of our wildflower patch. Some of you saw these at the market last week. The red flowers are crimson clover, the yellow flowers are overwintered turnips! We think the blue ones are bachelor buttons, and we don't know about the purple ones yet. Don and I have never been very good about knowing our flowers.... If you can't eat 'em, why does it matter anyway? We'll bring them to the market and let you all identify them for us!
